New Employees

Courtney Wetzel – Sales Support Specialist

In June, Courtney Wetzel joined the Hörmann High Performance Doors Inside Sales Department as Sales Support Specialist.  Her responsibilities include managing all related support along with quoting and order processing for national accounts as well as for the retail automotive vertical segment.  Courtney holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business from California University of Pennsylvania, and she has 11 years of experience working in inside sales, with substantial concentration on high-volume quoting and order processing for national accounts. 

Jeremy Jones – Service Support Technician

Jeremy Jones started with Hörmann High Performance Doors in October 2020, as a Service Support Technician working in the Technical Support /  Warranty Department.   He holds an Associates degree in Electronics from the Butler County Community College, and has an extensive background working in the electronics field, spanning 20 years, with 15 years working in the Nuclear field performing eddy current testing and analysis.  Jeremy lives in Gibsonia, PA with his spouse and two dogs.  In his spare time, he enjoys walking his dogs and spending time outdoors.

Blaise Lamatarice – IT Support Technician

Hörmann High Performance Doors recently hired a new IT Support Technician, Blaise Lamatrice.  Blaise will be the local support contact for Burgettstown, PA and will also work within the IT Service Desk Department supporting all Hörmann North America manufacturing and sales locations. 

Blaise received his Bachelors of Science degree in Computer Information Science in 2017 and provided IT support for the Jefferson County Sheriff’s office located in Steubenville, OH until starting with Hörmann.  He will report directly to the Director of IT Infrastructure, Philip Austin, with dotted-line reporting to Eric Plummer, VP of Operations, Hörmann Burgettstown.  Blaise resides in Wintersville, OH.

Sharon Pancari – Receptionist / Sales Support

Sharon Pancari joined the Hörmann team in August replacing Tina Aftanas following Tina’s recent retirement.  Sharon‘s responsibilties include many administrative tasks: greeting guests, answering the phone, scanning paperwork, coordinating luncheons, and much more.  In addition, she support the sales team by fulfilling brochure requests, managing the promotional items inventory, coordinating support materials for technical training classes, and more.

Sharon has an impressive background with over 30 years of experience including product administration, executive assistant, job cost supervisor and office manager.

Bob Hartley – Inventory Clerk

Bob Hartley joined Hörmann High Performance Doors in June as an Inventory Clerk. Every day, he "cycles" a portion of the inventory, confirming that the physical counts match the counts shown in SAP.  Bob has worked for many years as a warehouse manager, with more than 17 years at Walmart Logistics and most recently, Operations Manager for Walmart Distribution Center in Wintersville, OH. He and his wife have three sons and one grandson. 

Retirements

Tina Aftanas

Congratulations to Tina Aftanas who retired in August after seven years applying her talents as the Receptionist for Hörmann High Performance Doors.  Starting with her very first day, Tina embraced her position as Receptionist, and consistently greeted guests with a smile and was a caring and reliable co-worker.  Everyone at Hörmann wishes Tina a very happy and healthy retirement.
