Built-In Light Grid
Standard on the Speed-Commander™ 1400 SEL is a light grid built into the guide tracks up to 8’0" high. Completely free of coil cords, the light grid provides a thorough wall of protection for personnel and equipment at the doorway, as compared to other doors that use only photocells. On the Speed-Commander™ 800 SF, instead of the light grid, one reflective style panel reversing photocell built into the guide tracks.
Damage Control
On both models, in case of a collision, the door stops instantly and the flexible panel breaks out of the tracks without damage so that costly repairs are avoided. The SoftEdge profile is fed back into the guide tracks with just the push of a button. As a self-repairing system, this prevents downtime and service calls. Full perimeter draft seals and fast opening speeds of up to 80" per second enhance energy savings.
Wireless SoftEdge Bottom Profile
The Speed-Commander™ 1400 SEL has a SoftEdge bottom profile equipped with a wireless breakaway switch. This simplifies installation and reduces the risk of damage. The wireless bottom profile is safely cast into synthetic material and the switch is even dependable in dirty environments.
