The Speed-Guardian^™ 4000 U high speed security door, manufactured by Hörmann Flexon LLC, was on display at the International Door Association Expo in Indianapolis, Indiana, June 3 - 4, 2011. 

 

The Speed-Guardian^™ 4000 U is ideal for exterior or interior door openings up to 22’0” wide x 20’0” high and has an opening speed of up to 80” per second. The 1-5/8” thick panel sections made of hot-dipped galvanized steel with a urethane foam core have an R-value of 13.6 and a U-value of < 0.5. Three vision options are available to accommodate many applications:  Duratec^® double-pane windows with vertical reinforcement and black window frames; a complete vision panel has Duratec^® windows running the entire height of the door; and ventilation slats are available for applications that require ventilation and security. A light grid is standard and built into the guide tracks for enhanced protection of personnel and goods at the doorway. The following locations can benefit from the Speed-Guardian^™ 4000 U: condominiums, new car dealerships, fire stations, armored car facilities, sally ports, secure parking garages and general industrial.
